I'm friends with a Cobb County librarian that compiled a list of YA books for elementary readers. Download the file to get some ideas. The list is a few years old. You may want to see if the authors have published new titles recently.
1. You are only required to do our AC ELA work for reading and writing. You are welcome to do the StoryWorks activities if you would like too.
2. Conduct your research and build your presentation independently. Hey, guys. I'd like our class to continue Westward Expansion. You all glued a research choice board in your journals. We are going to be using the same choice board at home. I have attached the file so you can download it. Do not try to do all of this in one day! Remember, this is part of your 2 hours of work. Don't worry about how you are going to turn it in. I have a fun idea that I will share next this week. Your presentation should include 6 slides. (5 if you do not include Fun Facts) 1. Introduction 2. 2-4 Specific Sections (Ex. adaptations, habitat) The Fun Fact slide should be #4. 5. Conclusion I am going to start making and posting recordings of The Misadventures of Maude March. You can purchase a copy if you would like to read along. I cannot find a PDF version like Harry Potter. You are not required to buy a book.
